If you do a search in the internet for companies that offer outback tours in Kimberley or in any other region of Australia, there will be a lot of choices for you to go through. See what tours are on offer and work out exactly what you and your party would like to do on your tour.

Then you need to find a tour that is as close to your itinerary as possible. This should not be too hard, and you may even find you have a choice of a few companies to choose from. To help you make the final decision, look at some of the review sites and forums that are on the internet. Search for reviews of specific tours and companies and then see what has been written. You should be able to work out which company you would prefer to go with. Once you have made your decision, you just need to contact the company and make your booking.

Taking the burden of preparation away

A lot of people will buy or hire a vehicle, and go off on tour on their own or in a small group. This can be a great way to explore the place if you have plenty of time to see and do everything that you want to. However, if you use the services of a tour company, then they do all of the preparation for you. All you need to do is bring yourself and your clothes.

  • First Aid Kit
  • Food

  • Guide – with local knowledge of the area and its history

For the price that you pay, it is definitely worth while going on an organized tour of the outback, especially if you only have a limited amount of time. Everything that you will need is provided for you, along with the added safety of having an experienced guide who knows the area to show you around. This can prove very handy when it comes to the wildlife as the large Crocodiles can be as far as 100 miles inland, so you really do not want to go swimming in the wrong water hole!

Some of the Sights

There are some wonderful sights in the Kimberley region of Australia, and there are some excellent picturesque areas, which will make for an excellent photograph. You can travel on a 4 wheel drive vehicle, from where you get picked up in Darwin, to see the waterfalls in Litchfield and Florence. Swim in the crystal clear water before continuing the adventure through Litchfield National Park. There are also plenty of chances for you to hike along the Mary River and then hike to Kakadu Park. There is a lot of Aboriginal rock art in these areas and is a good opportunity to take some pictures.

There will be plenty of chances to go for a swim in the water and plunge pools during your trip. Just make sure that the guides says it is safe to swim first as you do need to be careful of crocodiles. You can also take a trip up river on a boat and travel quickly whilst still appreciating all of the beauty around you. There is a lot more on offer along the way, and you can even arrange a bespoke tour to cater for your exact requirements if needed. All of your camp sites will usually have permanent tents erected, so after a hard day of touring, you can relax by a fire under the open sky and relax, before heading off to sleep and start over the following morning.
