But if you are going to travel that far, why not really explore the country and experience the majestic beauty of the Australian wilderness in person? Move away from the city and the beaches and immerse yourself in the Australian outback, hundreds of miles from other signs of civilization. See what tours are on offer and work out exactly what you and your party would like to do on your tour.
Then you need to find a tour that is as close to your itinerary as possible. This should not be too hard, and you may even find you have a choice of a few companies to choose from. This can prove very handy when it comes to the wildlife as the large Crocodiles can be as far as 100 miles inland, so you really do not want to go swimming in the wrong water hole!
Some of the Sights
There are some wonderful sights in the Kimberley region of Australia, and there are some excellent picturesque areas, which will make for an excellent photograph. You can travel on a 4 wheel drive vehicle, from where you get picked up in Darwin, to see the waterfalls in Litchfield and Florence. Swim in the crystal clear water before continuing the adventure through Litchfield National Park. There are also plenty of chances for you to hike along the Mary River and then hike to Kakadu Park. There is a lot of Aboriginal rock art in these areas and is a good opportunity to take some pictures.
There will be plenty of chances to go for a swim in the water and plunge pools during your trip. Just make sure that the guides says it is safe to swim first as you do need to be careful of crocodiles. You can also take a trip up river on a boat and travel quickly whilst still appreciating all of the beauty around you. There is a lot more on offer along the way, and you can even arrange a bespoke tour to cater for your exact requirements if needed. All of your camp sites will usually have permanent tents erected, so after a hard day of touring, you can relax by a fire under the open sky and relax, before heading off to sleep and start over the following morning.
