ThailandPlanning your honeymoon? Consider Thailand. It is one of the most romantic places in the world. The beaches are excellent, and you can get five-star services at a fraction of a price you’d spend in the United States or Europe.

Phuket, for example, is considered to be one of the best beaches in the world. The turquoise ocean is great for swimming and diving, and you’ll find a number of hotels and spas. After a day of basking in the sun, couples can enjoy a candlelit dinner at the romantic restaurants, or go for a day of shopping at the night markets. Art lovers will also enjoy finding unique local masterpieces at the galleries and antique stores. Phuket has something for everybody, which is one reason why it’s thought to be one of Asia’s most popular tourist spots.

KohSamui is another popular honeymoon destination. While Phuket is still the better beach, KohSamui has a thriving party scene. The open air discos are amazing! So imagine a lazy day of diving, swimming, or lying on the beach, and then a loooong night of dancing and drinks! After all, as honeymooners, you have plenty to celebrate.

Honeymooners can also stay in Bangkok. The shopping is amazing, and when you’re done looking for great bargains at the night markets or the factories—it has Asia’s largest outdoor market called Chatuchak—you can look at the sights. You can arrange for a short trip to the mountains, or a tour of the elephant camp and the tribal villages. Bangkok is also known for its great restaurants. It offers not just Thai cuisine, but regional dishes and even fusion Asian dishes. It is the perfect honeymoon destination for food lovers!

If you and your spouse want a quaint and quiet destination—not too crowded or noisy, and still has the charm of an “undiscovered” location—consider the little fishing village of HuaHIn. You’ll find serene villas, a row of galleries and crafts stores, quiet cafes and seafood restaurants that serve authentic Thai fare from the catch of the day.
